i've been working to much at the casino, while this is good for getting money, and i actually don't mind the work one little bit, i've been shrugging off my design work...you know that thing i'm planning to do for most of my life....so i've got to get my priorities in order and get some shit done.

got a bit of "kid who wasn't invited to the party" syndrome going on. i don't know if i'm just having a low couple of days or what but insecurities are high, and i'm on edge with almost everyone. so who wants to give me a hug and hang out so i don't feel like such a sketch? i'm good people. it's not even like i haven't been doing things with friends, so really this is just a mood i take it. school is putting me on edge. people are are putting my guard way up. my oh my.

edit: i forgot where my actual friends are. fuck y'all. life's great.

books, books, books, books. oh my. all i have been reading are books on books.

in other news. new years eve got a little out of hand. to say the least. oh my. i have a fever from being outside in nylons for too long.

also i went for a really nice dinner with sarah, carly, trish, and mike. i tell ya mike lucked out going for dinner with such lovely ladies.

oh this is so disjointed. and it is not going to get better. cause my brain is not working today and i have been staring and pausing during conversations all day. but that's ok cause it's twoonie tuesday at charlies tonight and i'm gonna get one more night in before i become a responsible adult again.

oh man, my pa got me a wireless router for christmas. ha ha ha. what a dad! we've set it up here while i'm in town so now i can roam around my house and type type type away on the introweb. hee hee hee. nerd it out. i have so much i want to readin the next five days. one project i want to get done. multiple portions of a project sent off to the publisher. oh and some layout ideas for the inside of those books i'm working on. oh god, i hope this semester is a little better as far as seeing friends - but i wouldn't be surprised if it's not - last semester and all. LAST SEMESTER - time to make plans, figure out the future, WORK ON A GOD DAMN PORTFOLIO. in the mean time i'm gonna try to get lots better at inDesign and illustrator too. man i wish i had a drive to illustrate in illustrator, i only learn stuff like that if i have an interest and well...i like hand painting and i can't seem to find the time to 'switch over' - somebody make me do it. for reals. perhaps i'll force some illustrator wiz to show me the ropes. i'll give them soup. or a kitten. or a hug. CHRISTMAS. rah rah rah. i'm gonna go see if ma needs some help with dinner. and then read. read read read. and then read some more. and man, i'm craving a latte, isn't that hilarious? but all there is in this town is a tim horton -blah! cough cough cough bluuuuhhhhh puke...well i'll still go there and drink coffee just so i have a place to sit and work. a little old lady asked if what i was working on was a 'latop' and if i could write letter on it. hee hee hee. adorable. small town.

ohh and i've been drinking expensive scotch for the past three days. fuck yeah. drinking, designing, and read. life is a ok.

i have come to terms with the fact that i am good at intuitively knowing when not to go to things. somehow i have managed to miss awkward situations and conversations for months and months. good for me. yay. the clocks have been set back an hour. good for more sleep. yay.
